Lori Dengler, President
 – Lori has lived on the Braden River for seven years and has been a resident of Manatee County for 47 years. Growing up on Anna Maria Island she fell in love with the charm Manatee County has to offer. She found her home on the Braden River totally by accident and absolutely fell in love with the nature and feel of the area. She holds her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Masters Degree in Business Administration. She is Director of Clinical Services for the practice of Bach & Godofsky Infectious Diseases.

Bill Halstead, Vice President & Chair, Board of Directors – Bill and his wife Emiko have lived on the Braden River since 1988. Bill is a retired marine research scientist and administrator who worked for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Bill's interest in conservation goes back to his early childhood on Chesapeake Bay and during visits to Florida with his grandparents. His interest in preserving history is a result of traveling around the world and living in several countries during a twenty-year career in the USAF. Bill is also on the Board of Directors of The Snook Foundation, Inc. and volunteers at both Mote Marine Laboratory and with FWC.

Lynn Dallesandro,Treasurer – Lynn has lived in Florida since 2006, residing at the Tara G & CC, a community adjacent to the Braden River and Jiggs Landing. She and Bob, her husband of 40 years, relocated from Long Island, NY. Lynn is a retired nurse, holding her BS in Nursing from Skidmore College. Along with varied nursing positions, she has worked as a computer programmer and teacher assistant in Special Education. While in NY, Lynn served as treasurer of the local chapter of the League of Women Voters. Community affairs at Tara keep her busy as well as volunteer work with the Bradenton Transitional Center, helping to prepare inmates to pass their GED exams. Lynn loves the outdoors and keeps busy playing golf and tennis. Lynn loves Florida and is anxious to help maintain its natural beauty.

Peggy Christ, Secretary – Peggy is a native of Buffalo, New York, and has lived in the Marineland area for over 20 years. She is a Real Estate Broker with over 25 years experience in real estate development. Peggy is a Green Certified Associate and loves the history this area has to offer. She and her husband of 33 years purchased an Old Florida Bungalow nestled on the river where they enjoy the piece and serenity of years gone by. Peggy wants others to enjoy the wonderful ambiance as well and believes her involvement in the Society will facilitate that.

Yvonne Bedell, Director – Yvonne's family roots run deep here in Manatee County. As a native and lifelong resident, she has contributed to help the community thrive on many fronts. Yvonne is a small business owner that helps elderly persons with financial and secretarial tasks. She is a Life Member of Manatee-Sarasota Fish & Game Association, Inc., an Elder at First Presbyterian Church, National J. C. Penny Award recipient, Manatee County School Board Volunteer of the Year and Certified Guardian for the State of Florida. Yvonne enjoyed serving as Chairman of the 1st Kid's Fishing Tournament in Manatee County which was begun by Bradenton Bass Club and because of the popularity and size was given to MSF&GA to continue after two years of a very successful program that now occurs annually. In addition, she volunteers with Manasota Envirothon, an annual event, for area high school student teams at which they compete to identify types of flora/fauna/soil indigenous to this area. Yvonne is honored to serve on the Board of Directors for OBRHS as we strive to preserve the history of this part of Manatee County.

Lynn Longenecker, Director – Lynn owns and operates Divine Landscape Design, a landscape design company. Moving to Florida in the early 90's and finding an old Florida neighborhood like Marineland was divine. Landscape is a passion but restoring historical properties is a mission. The Manatee-Sarasota Fish & Game Association building, circa 1940, is now a residential lodge, where he resides, and is in keeping with timber-frame construction and bringing back a piece of history.
