Our first fund raising event ever was a block party, held April 12, 2008. The money raised supported our efforts to help conserve the beauty and natural environment of the Braden River and to research, document and publicize the history of the communities and families in and around the Braden River watershed. We thank everyone who helped make the block party a success: the Society members and volunteers who made it happen; all those who attended; and all of the sponsors and donors who so generously donated money and items for the auction.
